Why study Agronomy?
As an Agronomy graduate you will play an essential role in the global challenges of producing sustainable, extensive field and fibre crops such as; wheat, barley, rice, sugar cane and cotton under irrigated or non-irrigated environments. Soil fertility and crop nutrition is essential for food production for an increasing world population, while maintaining our environment. You will develop research, multi-disciplinary and leadership skills to enable you to integrate and apply knowledge across the production to consumption chain.
What you can study
The program has been designed to develop core research and leadership skills, scientific knowledge of agriculture but with the flexibility to allow you to select electives from Agribusiness, Animal, Social and Food Sciences.
