Why study Accounting?

Students develop the knowledge and skills necessary for competent practice in the accounting profession. Graduates with an accounting major can expect to find employment in areas ranging from personal finance and superannuation to corporate reporting, auditing, taxation and insolvency. Students completing the Bachelor of Business with an accounting major meet the academic requirements for associate membership of Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (CPA Australia) and enrolment in the CPA program and the academic requirements for enrolment in the Chartered Accountants (CA) program of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA).
