Course description
NOT 2012 This course introduces students to some of the best contemporary writing translated into English, from a range of different cultures and genres, including novels, short stories, and poetry. In addition to a grounding in contemporary literature, this course introduces students to reading literature as a way of enhancing their creative writing and developing their structural editing skills. Authors studied may include Haruki Marakami, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Toni Morrison, Milan Kundera, Alice Munro, and Wis'awa Szymborska.
