Course duration

This is a year long course. It commences in Semester 2, 2017 and completes in Semester 1, 2018.

Course description

This course will cover theoretical principles and practical applications of self-reflection and reflective writing in the context of a significant international travel and study experience. An understanding of various genres to report on the overseas experience will inform this self-reflective process. By providing a grounding in the fundamentals of reflection and narrative travel writing, it aims to equip students with the skills to document their experience and to enable them to write a publishable narrative travel article after they return to the University of Queensland.
