Course description
This course will not be offered from 2023. Students in this course seek out and develop the human-scaled, community focused, and interstitial spaces of the city. In their investigations and research about the grain and fabric of the city, students will learn to celebrate its occupation through design, planning and engagement. Within the density of cities public spaces and occupied places provide refuge, identity and comfort and in this course students will develop skills that help them to design the urban realm between large architectural and engineering developments and discrete spaces and experiences.
