Course description
This course is a sequel to ¿Principles of Entrepreneurship¿ and in particular those students wishing to pursue a for-profit start-up entrepreneurship opportunity. Students learn how to develop an entrepreneurial opportunity past ideation through building their skills at opportunity formation and evaluation. Students will develop their ideas into a business model by thinking through issues such as goals, value propositions, business strategy, competitor analysis, market segmentation, pricing, operations, risk management and business model alternatives. Students will put learning into action by being challenged to identify the most critical assumptions in their emerging business model and find inexpensive ways to convert those assumptions into facts about where their real and most valuable opportunity lies. The course thus advances entrepreneurship students along the skill pathway by building their ability to create entrepreneurial opportunities more likely to achieve their business goals.
