Course description
NOT OFFERED IN 2011. To enrol in this course, students must have completed an interpersonal skills training course. Please contact the School of Social Work and Human Services for further information. The course focuses on direct practice with children and young people (0-18 yrs) and their families who enter the child protection system, while examining models of alternative care and the needs of carers. The course equips students with skills in observation, reflection and working with children as well as managing relationships among parents, carers and welfare agencies within the child protection system. Course will only be offered if enrolments exceed 15 students.
