Course description
Supervised practice experience for MSocWkSt students enrolled in the #24 unit program. Placement runs for 21 weeks, (4 days per week totalling 600 hours), in a social welfare agency. Focuses on integration of practice experience with course material and companion courses.
Sem 1, 2012 dates: 30th Jan until 22nd June 2012
Sem 2, 2012 dates: 25th June - 16th November 2012
Prospective students are advised to contact the Field Education Unit, to arrange a pre-placement interview, in the month of April of the same year, prior to going on placement in semester 2, or in August of the preceding year, prior to going on placement in semester 1. Please note that provision may be made to commence agency placment at a later date and complete in 18 weeks at 5 days per week, in order to complete the required 600 placement hours.
