Course description

Second supervised practice experience for MSocWkSt students enrolled in the #32 unit program. Placement runs for 500 hours (approximately 18 weeks commencing two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester, four days a week), in a social welfare agency. Focuses on integration of practice experience with course material and companion courses. Sem 1 start date is 11th February 2013 Sem 2 start date is 8th July 2013 Prospective students are advised to contact the Field Education Unit (fielded@uq.edu.au), to arrange a pre-placement interview, in the month of April of the same year, prior to going on placement in semester 2; and in the month of October of the previous year, prior to going on placement in semester 1.
