Course description
From 2014, this course will be offered as SOSC7123.
As citizens and practitioners interested in creating positive changes in our community, we are often expected to engage with a range of systems, such as political systems, economic systems, cultural and social systems. Without a way of working with and in such complexity the result can be a sense of powerlessness, and resignation. In this subject students will explore the nature of systems, and develop analysis, processes and practices for navigating systems, including strategies such as planning, partnership, engagement, lobbying, and community advocacy. This is a dynamic course grounded in people's own change agendas, and students who enrol should expect to be challenged! Course will only be offered if enrolments exceed 15 students.
