Course description

Departmental consent is required for semester 1 enrolment. Please contact the Program Director for permission to enrol. First supervised practice experience for Master of Social Work Studies students for 497 hours over 18 weeks commencing two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester, in a social welfare agency. Focuses on integration of practice experience with course material and companion courses. Sem 1 dates - 14th February until 16th June 2011 Sem 2 dates - 11th July until 10th November 2011 Students must contact the Field Education Unit (fielded@uq.edu.au) for a pre-placement interview in August of the preceding year for semester 1 commencement and April of the same year for semester 2 commencement.
