Course description

First supervised practice experience for Bachelor of Social Work students, commencing two weeks prior to Semester 5 for 17 weeks, four days a week, in social welfare agency. Focuses on integration of practice experience with course material to date and companion courses. Students are expected to attend pre-placement workshops on February 15 and 16, 2010 with placement starting on February 17, 2010 (End Date - 10th June 2010). Prospective students are advised to contact the Field Education Unit, to arrange a pre-placement interview, in the month of August prior to going on placement in the first semester of the following year.
