Course description

This course begins with a brief review of elementary molecular biology: and statistical genetics. It then covers some bioinformatics relevant to gene discovery: sequence alignment and database searching, concentrating on the statistics used to guard against false discovery. This course is part of the Biostatistics Collaboration of Australia.
