Course description
Description: This course begins with a brief review of elementary molecular biology: and statistical genetics. It then covers some bioinformatics relevant to gene discovery: sequence alignment and database searching, concentrating on the statistics used to guard against false discovery. This course is part of the Biostatistics program conducted by the Biostatistics Collaboration of Australia. if you are not enrolled in this program, please contact the Program Director, Prof Annette Dobson and seek permission before enrolling.
