Course description
STAT7501 will be replaced by AGRC5701 from 2017 onwards
An advanced course covering the various experimental methods appropriate to applied and field sciences in agriculture and food science, with a focus on current methods of design and analysis. It will be on the applied methodology including the assumptions, the correct design for the type of data and the sample size. It will include modelling of generalized linear models, applications and model diagnostics. Designs for controlled experiments and simple stratified surveys. Investigating adequate replication and the application of advanced designs using nested or repetition of experimental units. Special topics, interpretation and communication of results. Some understanding of ethical issues and the public access to information and licensing.
