Course description
This course examines the relationship between media and culture, drawing from recent research in sociology and anthropology. The media considered include print media, television, radio, blogs and social media, with examples and theories from around the world as well as Australia. Topics include media and the nation, transnational media flows, media practices, the impact of the digital era and media convergence.
