Course description
This course introduces veterinary residents to specialist veterinary practice. Students become familiar with the principles of referral case management, including clinical record keeping, client and referral practitioner communication, billing and standard operating procedures of the referral service. This course begins to introduce the necessary components of the specialty discipline to allow the student to commence practice at an advanced and supported level. The Clinical Case Log that supports the 3.5 year residency program is commenced in this course.
