Course description

Class offered by web - no classroom lectures. This course investigates the history, doctrines and aims of secret societies in Western culture from ancient times until the present day. There will be a particular emphasis on secret societies in Australian culture and the effects of new technology, in particular the Internet, on secret societies, their beliefs, operation and recruitment.
