Course description

This course provides students with the opportunity to devlop specialist knowledge and skills for application in community mental health practice. The course provides students with the opportunity to acquire clinical knowledge and skills in areas such as case management and psychosocial rehabilitation, with particular referenc to services for people with special needs such as people with multiple diagnoses, indigenous people, people from non-English speaking backgrounds and people with forensic problems. The course does not focus on specific age groups and there are opportunities for students to develop a focus on services for children, adolescents, adults or older people and their families or carers.
