Course description
This course provides students with the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge and skills for application in community mental health practice. The course offers students the opportunity to acquire clinical knowledge and skills in areas such as case management and psychosocial rehabilitation. The specific focus is on services for people with special mental health care needs such as people with multiple diagnoses, indigenous people, people from non-English speaking backgrounds and people with forensic problems. The course does not focus on specific age groups so there are opportunities for students to develop a focus on services for children, adolescents, adults or older people and their families.
