Course description
This course develops a set of clinical skills that have wide application in evidence based practice with people who have mental health problems. These include skills relevant to assessment, skills relevant to provision of therapeutic interventions and skills relevant to evaluation of the effectiveness of a therapeutic intervention. Students develop a capacity to design assessment strategies and interventions that take into account developmental stage of the client and factors such as cultural background. Training is provided on working with groups.
