Course description
Description: The goal of this course is to prevent mortality and morbidity from unintentional and intentional injury throughout the world by training professionals in basic principles and applications. Upon completion, the student should be capable of assessing and documenting frequency and determinants of injury issues in populations and of setting priorities based upon surveillance and research, as well as local feasibility, economic and political realities. She/he should also be familiar with how to develop and evaluate active and automatic measures of prevention and to collaborate with multiple sectors to implement such interventions for different activities, target populations, and environments. This course may not be offered if the enrolment is less than 10 students.
