Course description
An intensive seven and a half day workshop (8 contact hours per day) that aims to equip students with the core skills to conduct a national burden of disease study and to understand the key determinants of population health. The workshop is open to UQ students and (inter)national burden of disease researchers. Enrolled students pay an additional fee of $300 for the costs of the venue, teas and lunches. Assumed Background: This is an intensive course with a lot of hands-on exercises requiring good basic knowledge of epidemiology and good skills in manipulating data in Excel. This course may not be offered if the enrolment is less than 10 students.
