Course description
Not offered in 2009. This course examines ethical and professional issues and standards related to the practice of Clinical Psychology and Clinical Neuropsychology. Legislation relevant to clinical work is taught (Mental Health Act, Qld; Health Practitioners (Professional Standards) Act, 1999, Qld; Psychologists Registration Act, 2001, Qld; Psychologists Registration Regulation, 2002, Qld). Students will also be familiarised with codes of ethics (eg the Australian Psychological Society's Code) and ethical guidelines.
