Course description
The purpose of this course is to introduce students to theory & research in social psychology as it relates to communication. This course will be taught by psychology staff with expertise in diverse areas of the topic and therefore the exact content covered may vary from year to year. In 2007 the course will focus on changes in human communication and social interaction across the lifespan, and on communication between in- and out-groups. The course will give students an understanding of research methods, techniques, & problems in this area; encourage students to think critically about the issues; & consider applications to diverse social contexts.
