Course description
There are over 150 recognised theories of psychotherapy. In this course, students are introduced to major theoretical frameworks in psychotherapy including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy and Family Therapy . Issues related to conducting ethical and productive therapy with clients are discussed.
Summer Semester 2009
Summer Contact Hours: 4L4T This course will be taught using the accelerated teaching mode of two x two hour lectures and two x two hour tutorials on the same day. You must attend both Lectures and tutorials on that day. Thus there will be four hours of lecture contact and four hours of tutorial contact per week. This course may not be offered over Summer if enrolment is less than 15 students.
