Course description

This course introduces the history and development of the conflict resolution field, theoretical underpinnings, and key approaches including distributive, integrative and transformative. Students will also gain an understanding of important conflict resolution processes and skills, and the qualities of constructive negotiators alongside their application to international, political, intractable, or otherwise challenging conflicts. Learning in the course draws on scholarship, case studies, and simulations.
