Course description
This course examines contemporary Australian foreign policy. It looks at a range of models of Australian foreign policy behaviour, examines how foreign policy is made, and focuses upon the major debates about the appropriate direction and priorities for Australian foreign policy in the new century. In particular, it examines the choices that lie before Australia in relation to Asian engagement, the future of the ANZUS alliance, and the relationship with the United States.
