Course description
The first part of this course covers selected topics in quantum mechanics, including the path integral formalism and the Berry phase. The second part of the course is an introduction to quantum many-body theory, including second quantization, Green's functions, many-body perturbation theory and Feynman diagrams. Both bosonic and fermionic systems are covered. Applications of the many-body formalism to various condensed matter systems and to dilute atomic gases are discussed.
