Course description

This course continues the extension and appilcation of the theoretical concepts gained from the physical, biological and behavourial sciences into the applied areas of occupational safety. Accident investigation, emergency planning and the principles of disaster management will be reviewed. Specific safety issues within particular industries and occupations( eg. mining, construction and agriculture) will be presented. The role of research in improving occupational safety will be reviewed.
