Course description
Students will learn about the psychological & social pathology that flows from disordered family dynamics. Students will learn the principles of pharmacokinetics & the clincial management of an overdose. The legal & ethical issues associated with reporting domestic violence &/or abuse & providing nursing care to individuals with mental health problems will be covered. Students will learn the prevalence & risk factors for major mental health problems & learn about health education for individuals & health promotion strategies for communities to prevent these problems.
