Course description
NOT 2011 This course introduces students to contemporary developments in the field of music education, and provides opportunity to consider the implications for music learning and teaching in studio, community, and classroom music settings. Issues to be addressed include: music curriculum policy and practice, curriculum design, assessment and evaluation in music learning, pedagogical practices and methods in music education, inclusive music education, the contexts and settings of music learning and teaching, philosophy of music education, teacher identity, and formal, non-formal, and informal music learning practices. NOTE: This course will not be offered if there are fewer than 15 enrolments.
