Course description
The course MUSC7730 Technology in Music Education provides theoretical and practical training in the application of technology for music teachers in studio, community and classroom music settings. The course will be aimed at teachers with little or no background in the use of music technology, but will be comprehensive in its scope. It will cover a range of technologies and apps, which can be used in areas such as audio recording, composition, arranging, reflection, collaboration, recording, social media, performance and aural. A strong practical emphasis will underpin course assessment and will be fundamental to course outcomes. The focus will be on developing an understanding of emerging technologies and how they can be applied meaningfully in learning experiences for students.
