Course description
This course provides a guided introduction to the skills & methods of music education and psychology research through individual supervision and seminar participation. On successful completion of the course students will demonstrate knowledge of the principles and practices of the major paradigms in which music researchers work including epistemological and ontological issues; knowledge of a range of research designs, methods, and techniques; a capacity to critique and evaluate research designs and the outcomes of research; and a capacity to identify ethical considerations in research.
