Course description
This course presents students with a range of opportunities to learn about composition, particularly song writing, and to develop skills in improvisation to accompany movement, improvisation to evoke a mood or feeling and improvisation to match and support client's improvisational contributions in sessions. Music therapy methods which focus on physical, communication, cognitive functioning and emotional adjustment are explored. Students have the opportunity to be involved in a group problem based learning experience.
