Course description
The course structure combines lectures, and tutorials. This course introduces the student to the theory & practice of music therapy. Tutorials in voice, guitar, keyboard, & percussion offer a unique opportunity to develop music skills for the purposes of clinical practice. Music therapy theory examines the therapy process, focuses on assessment, goal setting, and program development. Theories of stress, coping & development, as they apply to music therapy practice, are introduced & discussed. NOTE: Course offering may be cancelled unless a minimum of 15 students enrol
