Course description
An introduction to qualitative research methods relevant to the music professions.. This course is designed to prepare students for undertaking their own minor research projects. On successful completion of the course students will demonstrate the ability to describe research design, evaluate research outcomes, identify ethical considerations in research, discuss research with others, critique and write about research literature. Students should note that the lectures are designed to assist students in understanding the written material that they have read in preparation for the class. NOTE: Course offering may be cancelled if fewer than 15 students enrol.
