Course description
This course provides a guided introduction to the skills & methods of music education and psychology research through individual supervision and seminar participation. On successful completion of the course students will demonstrate: knowledge of the principles and practices of the major paradigms in which music researchers work including epistemological and ontological issues; knowledge of a range of research designs, methods, and techniques; a capacity to critique and evaluate research designs and the outcomes of research; and, a capacity to identify ethical considerations in research.
