Course description

This course will provide students with the opportunity to build their midwifery practice, knowledge, skills and clinical experience. The role of the graduate midwife as an effective team member of the multidisciplinary team will be critiqued. Clinical courses assist the health practitioner to develop advanced clinical skills including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Across the suite of clinical courses included in the Bachelor of Midwifery program students will develop evidence-based practice skills, beginning leadership skills and mentoring of less experienced students.
