Course description

This course will provide students with the opportunity to commence their midwifery practice, knowledge, skills, and clinical experience. This course will offer up to 160 hours of professional placement experience. Operating within the appropriate student scope of practice, student must demonstrate competence on their clinical placement when assessed against the requirements of the placement assessment tool. To successfully pass the course students must meet all course requirements to demonstrate competence against all course learning outcomes, including the required completion of a minimum of 60 midwifery practice experiences (MPEs).
