Course description

Small and social enterprises (SSEs) are regarded as the engines of regional, national and international economic development, employment and innovation. With increasing globalization of the world economy, SSEs need new ways to retain and sustain their competitiveness against large, multinational firms. The objective of this course is to learn how SSEs can manage and organize their value creation activities to sustain competitive advantage, improve performance, and survive in a global economy. We will integrate management principles from diverse disciplines such as strategy, marketing, operations, finance/accounting, HR and international business, and learn how to adapt and apply these in the context of small and social enterprises.
