Course description
Topological spaces: compactness, continuity, separation axioms, Baire category theorem. Classical linear functional analysis: Banach and Hilbert spaces, linear functionals, L^p spaces (as completions), Riesz representation theorem, uniform boundedness principle, dual spaces, weak convergence, Hahn-Banach theorem, bounded operators, open mapping theorem, spectrum and resolvent.
