Course description
This course aims to develop an understanding of the significance of Australia's marine systems and their importance in the global scene. The course examines the diversity of marine environments, both pristine and altered, sites of conservation significance, endangered plants and animals, as well as jurisdictional responsibilities. Field trips are not compulsory but highly recommended. Approximate field fees - $300 for North Stradbroke Island and $600 for the Great Barrier Reef (incl GST).
