Course description
The focus of this course will be on how we use language and other communicative strategies in real time interactions to acheive actions and facilitate social interaction. We will survey different approaches in the study of pragmatics but the main focus of the course will be on conversation analysis and how to use this particular approach to the study of face to face interaction.¿
