Course description

This course guides students through the analysis of real-world issues of meaning communication. Students will learn concepts and methods from Cognitive Linguistics that model how meanings are made, how they combine, and how they become attached to particular words and phrases. These methods will allow students to undertake a series of research projects exploring everyday issues of meaning.
