This course will consider the financing of International Trade & the role of banks & financial institutions; the utilisation of financial instruments & international payments; bills of exchange, promissory notes, bills of lading, commercial & standby letters of credit, independent & demand guarantees, & performance bonds; the impact of electronic commerce; international funds transfer systems, payment systems & international agreements; Jurisdictional issues; UCP, eUCP, ISP98, ISBP, United Nations Convention on Standby Letters of Credit & Independent Guarantees, URDG, URR & UCC article 5.
