Course description
NOT 2008. This is a foundation course designed to introduce students from China and Australia to the salient features of each legal system. The course will cover critical areas such as the historical development of each legal system; key legal institutions and sources of law; the interaction between legal and political branches of government, including consitutional issues; non-judicial dispute resolution; and an overview of civil and criminal processes.
