Course description
The course offers an introduction to the concept of, and theoretical bases for, private property. The course also considers the analytical nature of property rights, including the nature of rights in rem, types of property rights, emergent types of property, and the modes of vindicating property rights. In relation to personal property, the course considers the modes of creation and transfer of personal property rights, and lesser proprietary interests in chattels.
