Course description
This course focuses on Low B1 level (Independent User) on CEFR language proficiency scale, especially on developing literacy skills (reading and writing) of Korean language up to High B1 level (Independent User), while maintaining the balance in the development of speaking/listening, reading, writing, and cultural competence. It introduces real life situations in the Korean context and provides intercultural communication skills through the study of adapted and authentic texts. This course introduces students to a range of new language elements through various topics and real-life language situations in the Korean context. Some of the topics are also discussed in cross-cultural comparison with Australia as well as other countries when applicable. In that way, students are supported in their employability opportunities.
