Course description
This is the base-level course designed to introduce you to the Japanese language and develops conversational skills for use in everyday situations. Students also learn to read and write in Japanese using the two phonetic syllabaries, hiragana and katakana (46 syllables each) and 74 kanji (Chinese characters). Cultural aspects are integrated into the course. NOTE: This course may not run if there are fewer than 20 enrolments
